Regardless of qualification, hierarchy and location, we cultivate a culture of appreciation and mutual respect and anticipate the wishes of our partners. We attach great importance to a human and binding approach towards our customers. We meet each other as partners. Short decision paths and flat hierarchies promote dialogue, cooperation and efficiency.

We think and act in a networked manner. As team players, we feel jointly responsible for the entire development process. Each individual employee has the freedom to contribute his or her own ideas and optimize the customer focus. Our own positions have to be checked and adjusted selectively in control loops, which serves to continually optimize our processes and communication channels.

Company

Cell Culture and Molecular Biology – Bioswisstec is a company active in the life science market, cooperating and marketing systems for use in laboratories. The product range includes cell culture reagents such as FCS/FBS, cell culture vessels, reagents, liquid handling devices, centrifuges and mixers as well as consumables such as reaction vessels and pipette tips. In addition, Bioswisstec offers freezers, fermentors and bioreactors, CO2 incubators, shakers, DNA amplifiers and spectrometers.

Bioswisstec’s products are used in academic or industrial research laboratories, used for example in pharmaceutical, biotech, chemical and food industry companies and in local cantonal laboratories.

Bioswisstec’s quality products are also used in clinical or environmental analytical laboratories, in industrial laboratories for process analysis, production and quality assurance.

We welcome our first customers in 2007, the year in which we were founded, and we would like to thank them for their warm and friendly welcome to our service package. In the years of continuous development we supply the geographical European market. Founded in Schaffhausen and with a German subsidiary since 2013, our service package meets today’s market requirements of sales partners and end customers.

In its daily dealings with employees, customers, suppliers, society and the environment, Bioswisstec AG refers to its Code of Conduct. This covers all the essential principles and basic values to which we feel committed within the framework of our business activities.

Human rights, regulations and laws

We respect and observe the rules and laws in all business areas. In this way we ensure that our business activities do not involve human rights violations or other reprehensible activities. In particular, we pay particular attention to fair competition, data protection, protection of third party intellectual property, combating money laundering and insider trading.

Corruption

Any form of corruption or bribery is not tolerated in any way. This also includes any unlawful payment offers or similar benefits to government officials and other decision makers to influence their decision-making.

Child Labor

All employees are carefully screened to ensure that they have reached the respective legal minimum age for employees.

Basic rights of employees

We treat each other with respect and fairness. Every employee is given the same opportunities and possibilities – regardless of his or her race or ethnic origin, gender, religion or belief, any disability, age or sexual identity.

Employee safety

The safety and health of employees is our top priority.
All labour and health regulations are respected and complied with. In addition, we promote an appropriate occupational safety management system that includes regular training in occupational safety.

Suppliers and partners

We behave reliably and honestly towards our business partners.
The selection of suppliers is based on objective decisions which are disclosed in the interest of transparency.
The principles of respectful treatment are observed in the same way as for our employees.

Environmental protection

We are careful to ensure that we use natural resources sparingly.
We reduce environmental pollution within the scope of technically and economically reasonable possibilities beyond the extent required by legal norms and standards.
We regularly review our measures for environmental protection and implement appropriate improvements.

Export guidelines

We operate an export management system according to the rules of the European Union and Switzerland and strictly adhere to export bans. We do not tolerate any form of circumvention within our sphere of influence and do not get involved in any way. We do not transact business where there are indications of such circumvention.

Sustainability

The founder, Delf Daniel Heger, wanted “to improve mutual appreciation within the sphere of influence of the company and human living conditions”. As an outdoor enthusiast and environmentalist, it is a deeply rooted and lived obligation for future generations to leave behind a better and more liveable EARTH.  We are committed to this philosophy. At Bioswisstec, we can look back on a long tradition of social commitment, whether for development projects such as supporting the work of youth clubs or promoting medical research projects.

Today, questions of environmental protection are becoming increasingly important. With our vision, social commitment has been extended by an additional aspect. Energy-saving products, environmentally compatible materials, ecologically optimised production and working conditions as well as printed sales and marketing materials from sustainable forest management are just the beginning. In Bioswisstec’s holistic understanding, every economic decision has an impact on our environment; we work to continuously reduce the unreasonable and harmful influences.
